CINNAMON BREAD w/ ICING
Ya’ll, this cinnamon bread is just amazing! Y’all have got to try this amazing recipe. I have made this bread for everyone and it is HIGHLY praised! Please let us know what you think! This is Hailee Nichols’ recipe!
Ingredients for Bread:
2 Cups of All-Purpose Flour
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 Cup of Butter (room temp.)
1 Cup of Pure Cane Sugar
2 Large Eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
1 Cup of Buttermilk
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1 tbsp. Cinnamon
Ingredients for Icing:
2 Cups of Powdered Sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 tbsp. Butter
1 tbsp. Milk (add 1 tsp if mixture is too thick)
Directions:
- Preheat oven 350 F
- Mix your flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Blend your butter and sugar in separate bowl on medium speed.
- Add in your eggs and vanilla.
- After all your wet ingredients are blended well, mix in 1/2 of your dry ingredients.
- Add in 1/2 of y our buttermilk.
- Add in other half of your dry ingredients.
- Add in the remaining of your buttermilk.
- Blend on low speed until all ingredients mixed well together.
- In separate bowl mix together your brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Pour 1/3 of your batter into greased 9×5 bread pan.
- Pour 1/3 of your cinnamon mixture.
- Repeat steps 11 & 12 until both mixed are gone.
- Top off with left over cinnamon mix.
- Bake in pre-heated oven until toothpick comes out clear. About 55 minutes, depending on your oven.
- When you get your cinnamon bread out of the oven, mix together ingredients for your icing.
- Add your icing to bread while still hot.
- Let cool and enjoy! 🙂
