Happy Saturday! I hope you all are enjoying the day! Be happy! Try to see the good! Remember the Bible says,” A merry heart doeth good like a medicine but a broken spirit drieth the bones.” Stay away from negativity, turn off the news AND OPEN YOUR BIBLE! Have a great day friends and I hope you enjoy!

I’m gonna start with my own personal experiences with using these products, remember everyone is made different and has their own opinion. We all have different skins types and skin tones. I will start with my favorite facial products in this post and will continue with Amazon home decor, home products, what products my kids love, and skin care. Stay tuned!

Remember I’m 47 years old and I have very dry skin and I live in a very dry climate. Here are my all time favorite facial products from Amazon.

First product I’m linking is my favorite collagen. It might not be a facial product but it is good for the skin, hair, joints and nails. I really have enjoyed this product. Vital Proteins is a great product for me.
I have been using this product for most of 2020. I have seen growth in my hair and nails. I also love the collagen from Plexus as well but this one is a little more affordable. The price is not bad and this product has great reviews.

This product I have on auto shipment. I use this product every single day. It is the only product that has helped me with my dry patches. It also has great reviews. I started using this vitamin e product in 2019.

I love this product as well, we live in CO and our lips stay chapped. Great reviews and works amazing. I start this product in 2019.

I have been so happy with this facial cleanser. It has great reviews and a has a great price. It usually lasts me up to about 3 months or so.

I just started using these products about a month ago but I’m really liking them. They are all natural and no added nonsense. I will report back the longer I use them. That vitamin c is so good!

I only used one bottle of this product and it was fine but if you are looking for an inexpensive vitamin c serum that is all natural it is worth it. It has great reviews and it’s a great price.

Ok, I bought this product and I still haven’t used it. It was tucked away in a drawer and I forgot all about it. I will report back when I use it. It is one of the best seller products and has great reviews.

This brand I loved the vitamin e so much that I tried the facial cleanser, the exfoliating scrub and the moisturizer. What I loved about the moisturizer is that it had spf 30 in it but These products are just ok for me. The vitamin e I love, the rest is just ok for me.

A lot of people love this product and I tried a couple of bottles and it was ok for me but remember I am 47 and i have very dry skin and live in a very dry climate. It has great reviews and so affordable.

Now, I love me a silk pillow and here’s the one I use. It has great reviews and is on sale. I have been using this one for over a year now and loving it.

I tried just one bottle of this product and it worked fine. It has great reviews and on major sale for the big bottle. For the price, its worth a try.

My Dermatologist recommended this product and i really liked it but trying to stay all natural as much as possible.

I hope you all enjoy and find this helpful. Please, if you have any recommendations please feel free to reach out. I’m gonna go spend time with my family. Until he comes…..

Love,

Hey y’all! It’s been a while. I hope you all are well and thriving though this time. I try my best to always find the good even when it’s hard. What’s the point of being negative about any situation that you have no control over. Find the good, pray about it and give it to God! It’s not a bed of roses over here, but I always try to stay positive. I love the time we are getting to spend with my husband. He has always worked long hours and traveled and he has been laid off for about a month now. He has been helping around the house with many things including projects that we have been working on for months. We are almost done with the kids’ schoolroom/playroom and I’m loving it! I wanted to share some of the items that we purchased on a budget before the Coronavirus hit. We have been homeschooling our children since the beginning of school but wanted a cozy space for them. We wanted a space that we could keep their school material organized. I love the way it’s turning out. We put together the desk with an Ikea desktop and 2 file cabinets and it worked out perfect for our space. You can find one similar here. One of my favorite things we added was this adorable bookshelf.

It holds quite a few books and it was the perfect size for the space we had. I shared the link above for the bookshelf. It has good reviews and it’s on sale for $52.99.

I searched for comfortable yet kid friendly desk chairs, I had a couple of ones that I loved but was not practical for kids and this space is for them. I wanted something fun and safe for our 5 year old to sit in and be able to do school work or arts and crafts and I believe we found the perfect ones for our space and for our children. Everyone has different taste and different needs, find what works for you and your family. I’m linking the ones here that we love, they are reasonable priced and has good reviews.

Here’s the link to the chairs that we originally had plan to purchase but it just wasn’t practical with our family and the need that we had. It comes with four chairs and the price is great and has great reviews plus free shipping.

There’s several ways you can build this desk but we chose to use the file cabinets for support. There’s several different ones to chose from but I will link some similar ones here. The ones we purchased were cheaper but I can’t find the link to those. Another purchase we made from Ikea was the white floating shelf. They have two different colors but I love the white ones. I love the way the floating shelf turned out and if my son and I can install them, anyone can. Here’s the link for the shelf here.

I also have some other ideas and items that I would love to add but trying to keep it simple in this space because it’s a small area but would love to share with y’all some other bookshelves. This bookshelf on wheels is adorable and here’s a book caddy if you are looking for that style, bookcaddy it’s so cute! We went with the one we had space for since we have a small home and small area for this project. I hope this was helpful to some of y’all like me that may have books setting around that need a place for them.

We still have some finish touches to do but I will keep y’all posted and show y’all the final results. I really believe that this space will turn out to be one of my favorite spaces in our home. We have plenty of projects still left to finish and I can’t wait to show you all. If you have any questions please feel free to email me, I’d be happy to answer any questions! Y’all stay safe and have a blessed week!

Hello, from the beautiful mountains of Colorado! It’s that time of year again, Christmas and it’s coming up fast! I’m always looking for deals and steals and I thought I would put together a Christmas Gift Guide. I have spent a lot of time looking for great items and some good deals for y’all. The first gift guide is for preschool age. I will also put together other Gift Guides as well. These are Amazon Finds with great reviews and most gifts have AmazonPrime, which is great! Some gifts are educational, some are arts and grafts, some are my daughter’s picks! I hope this makes your shopping just a little easier this year if you are shopping for a preschool age child. Remember if you purchase through my links, I make a small commission off of it. You are not paying anymore, this is just a great way for me to make extra money for my family and I greatly appreciate your support!

I love this time of year, it was my mom’s favorite time of year and she always made it special for us even though we didn’t have much money. It doesn’t always have to be expensive to make it special. I love homemade gifts and gifts that have meaning behind them. Making homemade cookies and candy are something we have always made for are families and friends that is inexpensive and great gifts too. Taking evening drives through neighborhoods to see Christmas lights is also one of my all time favorite things to do with our children that is very inexpensive. Always remember to love on your family and remember what this season is truly all about, our Lord and Savior! I hope ya’ll enjoy!

<

Thank you all so very much! I have 30 more items to add to this list. It will be posted soon. Ya’ll have a blessed day!

Hello, from beautiful Colorado! It’s been a crazy busy summer and when I get busy most nights, I just want to skip my face nighttime routine and honestly sometimes I fall asleep. It is so important especially in the climate that I am in and the age that I am at, that I don’t forget to cleanse my face and prep my face before bed time. I am 45, I need to take good care of my skin. I have used so many different products and spent so much money on products that just don’t work for me. I am happy to say that I finally found some affordable products that I am happy with. Let me just say that I have very very dry skin. I live in a very dry climate too and that doesn’t help matters. I didn’t have any wrinkles prior to moving to CO but I do now. It is so important not only to take care of the outside of your skin but also to take care of the inside, meaning what you eat and to make sure that we are exercising, (working on both). I am a very busy momma, ain’t we all but we got to remember to take care of ourselves so we can take care of everyone else. I didn’t practice these things prior to moving to CO. My skin was dry but managable, I had no wrinkles and I worked like crazy! Most days I would fall asleep without washing my face, which was not good. Now that I live in a very dry climate and that I am 45 years old, I try my best to make sure that doesn’t happen but I am human and it does happen but not very often. I am gonna share some of my favorite products with you all, I hope you all enjoy! I am not a dermatologist, these are my opinions, I know we all have are own.

First of all, I need a good cleanser. I have used so many and but needed something that wouldn’t dry out my skin. I am really liking this vitamin e cleanser. It has no parabens, non gmo, chemical free, cruelty free and made in the USA. It is for dry to oily skin.

Second, I need a great exfoliator. I have only used this one twice but love it so far. It hasn’t dried my skin out yet. AHA for wrinkles and lines reduction, acne face wash for a deep clean with 100% Organic Extracts. I’ll keep y’all posted on any results. Here’s a link to this cleanser.

Not sure why that is showing up 3 times. Sorry about that. Trying to figure that out but in the mean time, I also love this exfoliator and I have been using this one for awhile and it doesn’t dry my face out. My face feels clean and refresh. I’ll link it here.

Next, I need a great retinol that won’t dry out my skin. I use a retinol serum and a retinol cream. I haven’t used these products but for only about three weeks but I love that these products don’t dry out my skin and are affordable. I have sun spots on my face and they are disappearing so I do see a difference in my skin. I use several of the GoPure products including the vitamin c serum and hyaluronic acid as well. I like the all but will keep you all posted on those as well. Here’s a link to these products.

I also need a great moisturizer, and I have tried so many and nothing worked. I still would have dry patches and I use them religiously. I have found a product that I use that actually works and I don’t have dry patches. I use two products. One of them contains sunscreen which I must have but with this combination, I am loving the results! Vitamin E moisturizer that’s non GMO, chemical free, cruelty free, paragon free and made in the USA! Here’s a link for these great products!

This Vitamin E Oil is so amazing! My favorite product! I am on my fourth bottle and I’m loving this product! A blogger I follow introduce this product and I’m so glad I ordered some. I love this blogging community, you can learn so much and so many of them are willing to help and encourage one another. I have a couple of new products that I’ll share results in a couple of weeks as well. Also, we need a great toner, I am currently using a toner that is ok but not great. I’ll keep you all posted when I find a great one! Now, if you click on these products, I make a small commission. My Georgia is 4 and I have one year with her before she starts school and I want to be able to not work and stay at home with her and this will help bring income in so I am able to be at home with her. Thank you so much for your support! I appreciate you all so much! Y’all have a blessed day! xoxoxo

Hey! I hope you all are enjoying the summer. It’s been a while. Boy, we have been so busy here in Colorado! Working, landscaping, painting and all the things to get our home up for sale. It’s a bittersweet time for us. Looking forward to this new chapter in our lives but sad to leave beautiful Colorado but most importantly our 2 boys that will stay in Colorado to attend college. My husband has resigned from his current job of 33 years and had accepted a job in East Tennessee. We have been praying for some time now that he will find a job that requires no traveling and that prayer has been answered. Even though he took a major pay cut, we would much rather have him home every night. So, here’s to new beginnings. My title a healthier home is entitled to just that. This past year I have made a committed to having a healthier home, for example: cleaner products from harmful toxins. Have you ever looked the ingredients in your shampoo, your fabric softener, laundry detergent, deodorant, etc.? You might just want to take a look at them. you would be shocked and if you don’t know what they are than research them. I want to sure a few things that I have changed in our home and each day looking, researching to find better products to have a more healthier home. Laundry! Laundry! Laundry! It’s a never ending chore. I have sone some research on the laundry detergent and still haven’t found the right laundry detergent for our family that is toxin free but still cleans, I will keep you all posted when I do. Now the fabric sheets or softener I have. I have switched from toxic fabric sheets to wool dryer balls and let me tell you, I love them!! They are amazing! I add several drops of lavender to a wool dryer ball and toss into the dryer. You could use lemon or lavender or your preference of an essential oil. Not only is it all natural but it saves on your dryer time as well. It softens your clothes naturally without the chemicals. You can use 3-4 dryer wool balls for a small load or 5-6 for a large load. A healthy alternative for drying your clothes. Wool dryer balls usually last up to 1,000 uses making this inexpensive and healthy. Here’s a link for the ones I use

These are inexpensive and work great! I picked up a couple from Walmart as well but they were smaller and the quality not as great. Also here’s a link to the lavender essential oil I use as well.

There’s so many benefits to essential oils. Lavender is one of my favorites. I use it in my diffuser, it helps us sleep better at night. Lemon is one of my favorites for all natural cleaning. I will be sharing some of my recipes for all natural glass cleaner, all purpose cleaner and much more. Stay tuned! Please let me know if you try these products and let me know what you think. And if you have any favorite all natural cleaner please share! Thank you and have a blessed day!

I am a Champion! I’m a winner! I’ll be the last one standing! Unbreakable, unstoppable! Words from the song, “The Champion.” I heard this while I was working and I never usually listen to words of certain songs but I listened and I really like the words! This picture is as raw as it gets. It’s hilarious,(according to my 11 year old, lol) no makeup, no hair fixed, no filter, lighting not great, in my cleaning work scrubs but as it is-I am a Champion! Real life! This is me! They have knocked me down but I got right back up, again and again. I am 45 years old and been through a lot in my life (we all have) but it’s what you do when you get knocked down. I’m no quitter, I fall, I get back up! I want to be the best at whatever I do in life! I’m very competitive, I hate to lose. I work hard! I want results! I love a challenge! I want to out work anyone, I represent the king! I want the world to know I am different! I want to be positive! I want to surround myself around positive people! I want to lift someone up today, compliment someone today, I want to build someone up today! You are a champion! Joshua 1:9 …the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. I know He is with me. He gives me strength when I am weak. Hebrews 13:5&6 …HE will never leave me nor forsake me. That comforts me in on the bad days. I try and strive to stay positive but that doesn’t mean that I fail or I don’t have bad days, I have plenty but I WON’T dwell on them and I WON’T let them define who I am! I am a Champion! Not every day is a bed of roses and is easy but I want to focus on the GOOD not the bad. I will strive to be the best and always remember I am a Champion! I am a child of the King! Left someone up today, encourage someone today, be a friend today, be a mentor for someone today, focus on the good not the bad! Life is too short, live the life God has given you. Stay away from negative people. Be grateful for you have and stop nagging about what you don’t have! Love, Live and laugh! Dance in the rain! Be silly! The most wasted of all days is the one without laughter-E.E. Cummings. Pray for someone today-

Be kind today! Just a little encouragement today! I am still learning and trying to grow is this blogging world, I’m not a pro but I’m me and I choose to do me! R

Hello Gorgeous!

I wanted to share a little bit of our daughters’ room. One of my favorite rooms in our home. As I walk into their room daily, I realize how fast they are growing up and wow, how time is flying. Be still my heart! I get so sad and excited at the same time of them growing up. Realizing that time is a vapor and it flies and I want to soak up every second I can. One of my goals this year is to take things slow and enjoy the moments with these precious gifts that were giving to us. I want to plan more family time and enjoy every second but also live in the moments and to be still! We are truly so blessed!

We remodeled this bedroom for our daughters a couple of years ago and it’s been one of my favorites! My daughters are 11 and almost 4. Big age difference but has actually worked out great! My 11 year old loves this space and has added her own little touches (look on her dresser :)) and that is fine with me. I want her to add her own touches and to love her personal space, but the most important thing in this room are the little touches to remind her daily that she is gorgeous, smart, kind, and wonderfully and fearfully made! It’s something we are teaching her and instilling in her daily! She is 11, WOW!! what 11! She’s growing up way too fast and in a blink of an eye she will be a teen, off to college, and married! Time flies and it goes by way too fast! I believe it’s so important to teach and instill positive words into your children. You see her pink pillow on her bed? It reads, “Hello gorgeous”. See, I want her to see positive words daily. we also have Psalms 139:14 above her door. I want her to know her worth! I don’t want her to settle for just any job or any man. I want her to know she is worthy for the best and to always be in God’s will! I want her to know she is beautiful, she is kind, she is smart, God made her just as she is! And though sometimes (especially at her age and going into the teen years soon) we get caught up on how we are suppose to look and how this is popular and that is in and this is out, I want her to always remember that she is perfect just how God made her. I want her to always remember that God has the perfect plan for her life and God has the perfect man one day for her and never to settle for anything less! I just wanted to share a little something that was on my heart today!

Have a blessed day!

Good Morning! I hope y’all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We sure did! We have so much to be thankful for!

We had such a good time just spending time with each other. We had such a great time enjoying great meals, playing fun games and even a little shopping. My family lives about 18 hours away and my husband’s family lives about 20 hours away. It’s so hard being away from family around the holidays but we try to focus on who is here and make the most of it.  My husband always has to work Thanksgiving Day so we usually plan to do our meal on Friday and plan every second of it and make  the most of it! We love putting our tree up that Friday evening, we have a family tradition of picking out that perfect real tree. There’s just something about that geniue smell of a real Christmas tree. That is just what we do, I know everyone is different and how boring would that be if we weren’t. That is why God made us all different and unique in our on ways. I love our own family traditions and I’m sure you do as well. I love the joy it brings, the togetherness it brings, the smiles, the laughter! We truly love this time of year! Let me sure of few of our ideas that we did over the Thanksgiving holidays  and please sure some of yours. I hope you enjoy!

On Wednesday-

We shopped around for all the good ideas and holiday deals, (we have to with a big family).  We found some new ideas to do with the children and found some great deals that was on their Christmas list. I use to go a little over board on the gifts but this year I’m stealing a friend’s tradition and doing something different. It’s a great idea and I love it. My children will be getting 5 gifts for Christmas, 1. something they need, 2. something they want, 3. something to read, 4. something to wear and 5. a big gift that is the most expensive, plus what they get in  their stockings. This is a great idea and I want to concentrate on making more memories! I want to make Christmas memories, for instance like ice skating on the lake, the Christmas play, the Christmas parade, drinking hot chocolate around a fire and so forth. I want to spend money on those activities with the children and make memories that will last a life time. Life is short, and time flies.

Thursday-

Thursday morning we had homemade French toast, made by Hailee. They were amazing! We had planned to make homemade cinnamon rolls from @Sarahjoyblog, but we forgot one important ingredient. We will definitely have everything we need for Christmas morning to make them. They look amazing! I also did a little online shopping. I use Ebates and got back  cash back. I love using a company to make money by just doing what I was doing anyway.  They have a $10 bonus today and up to 10 percent cash back at like stores Walmart and Amazon and many more. Theres’s so many great deals today, go sign up and check them out. make sure to mention I sent you!  https://go.ebat.es/limsk .Thursday after our amazing breakfast,  we prepared for our Thanksgiving meal for Friday. We made all the desserts, sides and prepped the turkey and ham for that night. Sam prepared the cookie pudding and cheesecake and may I say, she did such a great job! She was so excited to join in and help. Children live and learn, monkey see, monkey do! Be the example your child(ren) need, stay positive and get off your phone when they are around! I know sometimes we have to but there’s so many times that we don’t!!I know I’m guilty of this and I’m working really hard on it! They are only little once. Sorry, I just had to throw that in there. Thursday night my husband and I had a date night. He worked 13 hours so he definitely needed it! We had a great time and was able to snag a few gifts for the children.

Friday-

We all slept in and awoke to the wonderful smell of turkey. We got dressed and finished prepping the Thanksgiving meal. We ate at noon and it was delicious. We had a great meal and made plenty for left overs. We danced, made Christmas crafts (we picked some inexpensive ones up at our local king soopers), homemade sand, watched Christmas movies and made so many memories. Later that evening we went to pick out our Christmas tree. We had so much fun decorating the tree.  We danced again, sung songs and had such a great time!

Saturday-

We had a big breakfast. We always try to have a big breakfast every Saturday. After lunch we took the children to an inside swimming pool. w loved watching the snow fall is the children were swimming. If your community has an indoor pool, it’s a very inexpesive way to make memories and the children love it! Saturday evening we watched Christmas movies, had hot chocolate, danced again to music and played board games! We had such a great time and made so many memories. It was indeed a wonderful time! Enjoy the little things! I usually can be pretty picky about the Christmas tree and how it looks but this year I left the ornaments just as they were. They loved decorating that tree! They loved the dancing! They loved those inexpensive crafts! They loved the Christmas movies, the hot chocolate! It’s the simple things! The cheap movies, I try to buy them on black Friday and of course Netflix also has some. We bought Alexa last year and we just simply ask her to play Christmas music and she does until we say stop. The children had a great time and we did too. It’s the little things in life that thrills my soul! And it doesn’t cost a fortune to put a smile on those faces. Enjoy the little things, they become the most precious memories!

You Are Enough!

Years ago I would have never published a selfie of myself. I truly struggled for many years with feeling like I was never good enough to be something or someone  special! I would  look at myself and look at all my flaws, the imperfections, and think to myself  how I’m not smart enough, good enough, pretty enough. BUT I AM ENOUGH! I finally came to a point in my life that I know, I am enough! I am fearfully and wonderfully made,  Psalm 139:14. God made me just as I am. I struggled for many years with the mentality of not being good enough, not pretty enough, not smart enough, but I know that I am exactly what God made and with that I am happy! I can do whatever I put my mind to, With God all things are possible! I was 92 pounds for several years of my young adult life. I had no confidence, no self-worth. I would shy away from the cameras, I would never look into a mirror, an unhealthy skinny, never taking care of myself, always putting myself down, and one day God said, “you are Enough”! I woke up and knew that I was. I was in a relationship that I tried so hard to please and yet was never good enough. Let me tell you, if someone makes you feel that way , it’s not you, it’s that person that has a problem! I got out! I got healthy! I gained confidence like never before! I found my  worth! I loved myself again! I believed in myself again! I found a great job! I found the man of my dreams!  I was on cloud 9! I loved everyone around me! I loved life again! I laughed again!  I love to take care of myself again, so I can be the BEST me! Life is too short, I’m gonna love me for I am wonderfully and fearfully made! I am good enough! God made me! He loves me just as I am! I know I’m not perfect but I do know that I am me and he made me! I wasn’t born into riches, I wasn’t born pretty, or smart but I know I am fearfully and wonderfully made! I am enough! I love me and for  a long time I didn’t, I didn’t even like myself. But today I do and you can too! Take care of you, love you, God made you! You are enough! You are fearfully and wonderfully made! I don’t have a perfect life, I’m not a beauty queen, I don’t have  the brains of Einstein, BUT I am ME and today I love me! Love yourself, you are enough! Sorry for the rambling, just want to encourage someone today! I was in a lonely place in my life but I found true happiness and you can too! Y’all have a blessed day!
