I wanted to share a little bit of our daughters’ room. One of my favorite rooms in our home. As I walk into their room daily, I realize how fast they are growing up and wow, how time is flying. Be still my heart! I get so sad and excited at the same time of them growing up. Realizing that time is a vapor and it flies and I want to soak up every second I can. One of my goals this year is to take things slow and enjoy the moments with these precious gifts that were giving to us. I want to plan more family time and enjoy every second but also live in the moments and to be still! We are truly so blessed!
We remodeled this bedroom for our daughters a couple of years ago and it’s been one of my favorites! My daughters are 11 and almost 4. Big age difference but has actually worked out great! My 11 year old loves this space and has added her own little touches (look on her dresser :)) and that is fine with me. I want her to add her own touches and to love her personal space, but the most important thing in this room are the little touches to remind her daily that she is gorgeous, smart, kind, and wonderfully and fearfully made! It’s something we are teaching her and instilling in her daily! She is 11, WOW!! what 11! She’s growing up way too fast and in a blink of an eye she will be a teen, off to college, and married! Time flies and it goes by way too fast! I believe it’s so important to teach and instill positive words into your children. You see her pink pillow on her bed? It reads, “Hello gorgeous”. See, I want her to see positive words daily. we also have Psalms 139:14 above her door. I want her to know her worth! I don’t want her to settle for just any job or any man. I want her to know she is worthy for the best and to always be in God’s will! I want her to know she is beautiful, she is kind, she is smart, God made her just as she is! And though sometimes (especially at her age and going into the teen years soon) we get caught up on how we are suppose to look and how this is popular and that is in and this is out, I want her to always remember that she is perfect just how God made her. I want her to always remember that God has the perfect plan for her life and God has the perfect man one day for her and never to settle for anything less! I just wanted to share a little something that was on my heart today!
Have a blessed day!
