Hello! It’s a beautiful day here! Thought of the day: Knowing you already have it all!
We just got done with remodeling our bathroom and as we were searching for decor, we found the perfect sign that reads, “The secret to having it all is to know you already do”. Such a profound and true statement! If we would just grasp that and live by it, it would change the way we think. We start comparing our homes, our cars, and our clothes to others. We start trying to find ways of affording that brand new car, home, etc. and wishing we had this and that. If we could just be happy and content with what we have been blessed with, our outlook on our lives would be more enjoy-able. I always tell my husband that whats most important to me is that, I want our home to be heaven on earth! We are in the process of making our basement a family room and the paint color we decided is heaven on earth. I’m so excited! I can’t wait until it’s done and we are able to enjoy a lot of family time in this room. I have always wanted a family room to spend our nights together with what we have been blessed with. Our home is very small (and I’m ok with that) but it’s our home and we are making it a comfortable, nice home for our sweet family. Enjoy what you have, make it special for your family. I don’t spend a fortune on clothes or cars. I spend any extra money I get on our home, our happy place, our heaven on earth! I already have it all, I have the husband that the Lord has blessed me with, I have my children that the Lord has blessed me with, I have a 2011 Honda Pilot that the Lord has blessed me with, I have a 1971 mountain home that the Lord has blessed me with!! I know I already have it all….I’m content …I’m truly blessed!! Just something I wanted to share. I hope y’all have an amazing day!
Here’s a family favorite recipe that we always make during the holidays.
Recipe of the day: Buckeyes
1 stick of butter
1 tsp vanilla
16 ounces of semi sweet chocolate
16 ounces of powered sugar
12 ounces of natural peanut butter (you don’t have to use natural, that just what I like to us)
- Beat peanut butter/butter in a mixing bowl. Stir in vanilla. Slowly add powered sugar on low until smooth.
- Roll into balls about one inch. Chill for one hour.
- Place chocolate in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 10/15 seconds at a time, stirring between intervals, until melted.
- Dip peanut balls 3/4 of the way into melted chocolate and place on wax paper to set.
